Dr. Nija L. Walker is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She obtained her entire six year Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2001 from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Professional Pharmacy. She was awarded full academic and basketball scholarships to Xavier, and she maintained both scholarships for the entire six year Doctor of Pharmacy degree program. Presently, she works as a staff pharmacist for a chain retail pharmacy.
Dr. Nija L. Walker began writing poetry as a hobby while attending Glen Oaks High School. However, it wasn't until 2004 that she developed a sincere passion for poetry. This passion resulted in the founding of Revealing Reality Publishing, LLC and the creation of Voice of an Outcast.
